Welcome to the new QDMA Whitetail Map Guide. This guide provides one of the most comprehensive whitetail information resources on the internet, and is growing every day! Here are some of its current features.
Whitetail Density by County for the US
This map layer, developed by the Quality Deer Management Association, shows whitetail population densities for your neck of the woods, as well as any other hunting destinations you might want to travel to. Simply zoom in on the map to see where deer populations are thriving.
Hunting Related Business Listings
Locations of hunting resorts, guides, outfitters, hunting supply stores, product manufacturers, truck and ATV dealerships, taxidermists, venison processors, and much more are just a click away. Simply zoom to an area of interest to find what businesses and services are available for your next whitetail adventure.

Topographic Relief Map
We've included a 3D shaded relief surface as an extremely useful backdrop for the map. Click on the "Theme" button, and then click on the "Topographic Surface" to check out the lay of the land. The map may also be started with this surface already on.

Find key geographic locations such as bluffs, ridges, valleys, lakes, streams, springs, public use areas, wildlife management areas and much more using this comprehensive list of geographic features. The database also includes manmade features such as airports, dams, bridges, hospitals, parks, and schools.
Virtual Scouting
Once you locate your points of interest, such as a natural spring or a gap in a ridgeline, the latitude and longitude coordinates of that feature are posted on the map control panel. Now all you have to do is enter this info into your GPS unit and then go directly to it!
Integrated Road Map
Find your way to any location you want, whether it is an outdoor business location, or where your next hunting adventure will be. This map contains the latest Census 2000 street database complete with street labels.
State Sportsman's Pages
Information on hunting seasons, regulations, weather, sunrise/sunset, etc. are available just below the map on the 1024x768 version of the map utility. These state-related links are also great references to supplement your information gathering experience.
Map Activity Layer
We've included this layer to show what areas other whitetail enthusiasts have been looking at. These are the "hot spots." This layer is updated each month.
