QDMA signs Hunter’s Specialties as a national sponsor

Watkinsville, Ga. – QDMA Executive Director Brian Murphy has announced that Hunter’s Specialties – the world’s largest manufacturer of hunting accessories – is QDMA’s newest national sponsor.

“We are honored to have Hunter’s Specialties come aboard as our newest national sponsor and join in our efforts to promote ethical hunting, sound deer management and preservation of the deer hunting heritage,” Murphy said. “The company has been an industry leader for generations, and its commitment to Quality Deer Management is gratifying. Our board of directors, staff and members welcome this opportunity to work with Hunter’s Specialties.”

“We are happy to be a sponsor of QDMA,” said Hunter’s Specialties President and co-founder David Forbes. “We have practiced Quality Deer Management on our own property for the past several years and have seen the results that can be achieved through proper nutrition and selective harvest. We fully support the QDMA’s mission.”

“We felt that the Hunter’s Specialties philosophy and that of QDMA was a natural fit,” said Marketing Director Tim Anderson. “We are looking forward to doing our part to promote better deer management throughout the country.”

Hunter’s Specialties was founded in 1977 by the husband and wife team of David and Carman Forbes with a single product, No-Mar Camo Gun & Bow Tape. Since then, it has grown into the world’s largest manufacturer of hunting accessories, offering over 700 products to consumers. David and Carman currently serve as Co-CEOs and President and Vice-President, respectively, and live by their motto “For Sportsmen, By Sportsmen.”

Founded in 1988, QDMA is a national nonprofit wildlife conservation organization with 35,000 members in all 50 states and several foreign countries. Membership in QDMA is open to anyone committed to ethical hunting, sound deer management and the preservation of the deer-hunting heritage.
